Introducing our NaturalBurma Desi Black Basmati Paddy Seeds, available in 1 kg packs from Vintage Farmers, now offered at GoneFarmers.com. This special variety is also known as the Wisdom of Lord Buddha and features super lengthy black rice seeds, similar to desi basmati rice.

These paddy seeds are suitable for both the Kariff (July-December) and Rabi (December-June) seasons, and they hold historical significance as Lord Buddha himself consumed this rice.

With a seed-to-seed tenure of 125 days, you can directly plant these seeds in the fields using drum seeders or a seed drill. If you prefer traditional transplant methods, the crop duration extends to 135-145 days.

Burma Desi Black Basmati, also known as Forbidden Rice, is a rare and ancient variety that has been cultivated in India for centuries. It thrives in the North East region (known as Chak Hao) and the southern parts (known as Kavuni in Tamil) of India.

Botanically known as Oryza Sativa Linn, this rice variety is cherished for its herbal properties, nutritional value, and enticing fragrance. It goes by various names like black rice, Forbidden Rice, purple rice, and more.

Black rice is highly valued for its rich content of vitamins and antioxidants, with the bran hull (outermost layer) containing some of the highest nutrient levels found in food.

This deep black rice usually turns a vibrant purple when cooked, thanks to its high anthocyanin content. Compared to other colored grains, black rice has a higher concentration of anthocyanins by weight, contributing to its distinct hue. It can be used to create porridge, desserts, traditional Chinese black rice cakes, bread, and noodles.

Black rice is a whole-grain rice with the inedible outer hull removed. Alongside red rice and gold rice, it belongs to the family of whole rice varieties with differently pigmented outer layers.

Notably, black rice boasts high antioxidant activity and more protein than brown rice, making it a healthy choice with several potential health benefits. Its glutinous properties make it perfect for rice pudding, and it is recommended to soak the rice for a minimum of 1 hour or ideally overnight before cooking.

Experience the enchanting beauty, distinctive aroma, and impressive health benefits of Burma Desi Black Basmati Paddy Seeds, also known as Forbidden Rice or Emperor's Rice. Visit our online store, GoneFarmers.com, to obtain your pack today.
